Holes is a 2003 film based on the novel of the same title by Louis Sachar, who also wrote the screenplay, with Shia LaBeouf as the lead role of Stanley Yelnats. It was consistently lauded as an excellent movie, because of its strong plot, deep characters, and family friendliness. It received a 78% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
